Hold-time verification is an integrity rule used where deposit or liquidity quests are approved: points remain pending until the position has been held for the required duration. It helps prevent participants from farming rewards by immediately entering and exiting a position.
Pending rather than credited is the mechanism. Points exist in the ledger from the moment the action completes, but they do not count toward settlement until the duration is satisfied, so an early exit forfeits them.
The rule applies only where deposit or liquidity quests are approved, which is a compliance boundary on which on-chain quest types a campaign may run. Where those quests are not approved, the rule has nothing to attach to.
For participants the practical implication is planning. Points from a deposit or liquidity quest are not secured at the moment of the transaction, so exiting before the required duration forfeits them entirely.
