Leaderboard

A leaderboard is a ranked, usually public, display of campaign participants ordered by their points or measured contribution. Leaderboards serve two functions: they give participants a competitive progress signal, and they give projects a transparent view of who is driving results.

The progress signal is what keeps participation going through a long campaign. A participant who can see their position knows whether more effort changes anything, which is information a private points balance does not carry.

What a leaderboard ranks on tells you what the campaign values. A board ordered by post volume and one ordered by attributed conversions will surface almost entirely different people from the same participant pool. Reading the ranking basis before entering is the fastest way to judge whether a campaign suits what you can actually do.
