A qualified click is a link visit that passes a platform’s quality checks (real human session, sufficient engagement time, non-duplicated, from an allowed source) and therefore counts toward rewards. The distinction between raw clicks and qualified clicks is one of the main defenses reward platforms have against bots and click farms.
Each check removes a different kind of worthless traffic. Session checks drop automated hits. Engagement time drops the visitor who closed the tab immediately. Deduplication stops one person counting fifty times. Source rules drop traffic from places a campaign never agreed to buy.
For participants the practical consequence is that raw click counts overstate earnings, sometimes badly. A link showing thousands of visits may qualify a fraction of them. Reading a campaign’s qualification rules alongside its bot filtering is the only way to estimate what traffic will actually pay.
