Reward pool

A reward pool is the total budget a campaign commits to distributing among participants, denominated in tokens, stablecoins, or other assets. Pool size, its split across participant groups, and its payout terms (immediate versus vested) are the three numbers that most determine what a campaign is worth to a participant.

Headline pool size is the least informative of the three on its own. A large pool split across many groups, or released on a long vesting schedule, can be worth less in practice than a smaller pool paid out immediately to a narrow group.

Pools denominated in a project’s own token carry a second variable, since the token’s price at snapshot decides what the allocation converts to. Campaigns that publish size, split, and terms upfront let participants price all of this before committing effort.
