Impact Score

This term is specific to Buzz by ChainGPT and is defined per our product documentation.

Impact Score is a participant’s total ranking metric in Buzz: the sum of ledger points across all buckets, including referral points. It powers campaign and global leaderboards.

Because it aggregates every bucket into one number, Impact Score measures total contribution rather than performance in any single lane. Two participants with the same score can have earned it in completely different ways, one through traffic and one through on-chain activity.

It is a ranking metric rather than a payout metric. Rewards are calculated per bucket at snapshot using each bucket’s value-per-point, so a higher Impact Score indicates standing on the leaderboard rather than a directly proportional share of the pool.

Because it includes referral points, the score also reflects participants a Buzzer brought in rather than their own activity alone. Two people with identical direct contribution can therefore rank differently.
